When I saw him and G. Love live, Jack told the story of this song, which is most basically that he wrote it for his wife when he forgot to get her a gift for some significant occasion. Well Jack, I’m grateful that you’re materialistically forgetful, because this will forever be on the list of sweetest songs written :)
